Sean Michael Fitzpatrick, formerly of Olean, most recently of Lake Waneta in Dundee, passed away Monday (January 31, 2022) after a brief non-COVID related illness.
Born September 16, 1967, in Olean, he was the son of James M. and June Harrier Fitzpatrick.
Sean was a graduate of Archbishop Walsh High School, Jamestown Community College, and SUNY Fredonia. He later received his Master of Business Administration from the University of Buffalo.
He worked for many years for IBM in Endicott before becoming a real estate agent for Howard Hanna Lake group in Hammondsport. While living on Lake Waneta, Sean was very active with several of the Lamoka Waneta lake association boards.
In his free time, Sean enjoyed; hunting, especially with his dad, fishing, traveling, and hosting campfires at the lake. He was also an avid Buffalo Bills and Sabres Fan.
Sean is survived by; his mom, June of Olean; one sister, Michelle (Chuck) Baer of Olean; his nieces and nephews, who he thought the world of; Logan Baer of Olean, Shamus Baer of Olean, Alex (Tony) Calbi of Olean, and Jacob (Hannah) Baer of South Carolina; one great- nephew, A.J. Calbi; a very special family friend, Don Wind; his loving God Mother, Gay Fish; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; his beloved dog and ultimate man’s best friend, Bubba. He will be greatly missed by many of his “Brothers” from the lake, who always knew they could count on Sean for anything.
Sean was predeceased by, his dad, his maternal grandparents and paternal grandparents.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Cattaraugus County SPCA, 2944 Route 16N, Olean.
Sean was a very successful and valued member of the Howard Hanna Lake Group Team! We miss him and think of him often!
